To give hope a chance, to help bring a wish, a dream 2 reality for at-risk kids |
Dream-2-Reality (D2R) is a Triangle-based non-profit organization. We revitalized the former "Giving Tree" which, in years past, provided for at-risk children throughout the region by fulfilling holiday wishes. D2R has been collecting holiday wish lists from area at-risk children mostly referred to us by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. These local vulnerable children need your help.
D2R is asking you to help by sponsoring a child. You can choose to fulfill the wishes of a child or of several children or just help by joining others with your tax deductible donation. These children are asking for a coat, shoes, a Sunday outfit, pants, a doll, a toy car.....and more to help bring good things for the holidays.

Why help these kids?We are requesting your help for the children whose families have fallen into troubled times. The children's security and values have been shaken. The children are at-risk. Many have hopes to be "just like the kid next door" or "just like the kid sitting next to them in school". Many believe they will not be able to reach even this goal. We want them to know that they can and that they can be so much more.
The team here at D2R knows that children thrive when they receive positive reinforcement. They shine when they feel they fit in and are part of the community. Our goal is to fulfill their wish lists so they will feel that they are indeed a part of their community. They can hold their heads up high and be part of the whole. They know that some one sees them and believes they are valuable.
Children are our future. Those children who believe that someone cares will strive to be better than those who do not.
The more people who show a child they are valuable, the more likely the child will succeed.
